ABOUT OUR MEMBERSHIP
Membership in the Montego Bay High School Alumnae Association of NY, Inc., is all about pride – pride in Montego Bay High School (MBHS) and pride in being affiliated with an association that seeks to empower current and past students. The strength of our beloved alma mater is in your hands, the past students. Your membership along with other alumnae will enhance and promote our mission of “Empowering our sisters, the future leaders”. Your support will have a profound impact on the future and wellbeing of Montego Bay High School.
Membership is open to all former students of Montego Bay High School. Applications for Associate Membership are available for spouses, immediate family members of past-students, and supporters that display interest in the work of the association. All membership applications are approved at the discretion of the Board. There are three categories of Membership: Alumna, Associate, and Inactive. Members in good standing (“good standing” means members who have remained current on the association dues which covers a 12-month period), shall have the right at every annual members’ meeting to cast vote on each matter submitted to the membership. Alumnae are eligible to hold office. Associate members are ineligible to hold office but can chair a committee at the discretion of the board.
An alumna serving as an elected or appointed officer for another MBHS Alumnae association is ineligible to serve in such position in the association.
You can become a member by submitting an application with your dues for the year in which you apply for membership.
Our annual membership due is $50 or a discounted rate of $90 for two years.
